Informational Agreement

Thank you for inviting John Alan Turner to speak for your event. Because of John’s commitment to a healthy family and excellence in ministry, he is not always able to accept every invitation. However, he does consider every invitation, and we will respond to your request as promptly as possible. If there is any flexibility in your event, you can help us by providing a few possible dates.

One of our most frequently asked questions is, “How will our request be considered?” Below are the questions we take into consideration

1. Availability: Is John currently available for your requested date?

2. Family: Does the request conflict with family events? John loves being with his family and is committed to spending both quality and quantity time with them.

3. Honorarium: Can John be adequately compensated for his time away from his family? We are committed to providing you with top-notch material. We are also committed to seeing John’s preparation time rewarded appropriately. Therefore, we request an honorarium for John’s speaking engagements. This does not include travel expenses and lodging – for which you will be responsible. Note: Our final decision is not based on finances – many times John will make allowances for smaller churches. If you cannot afford the honorarium, please indicate what your budget allows or consider partnering with another church (or several churches) in your area to co-host an event.

4. Travel Expenses: John prefers to fly on Delta Airlines. You will be responsible for purchasing round-trip airfare. Depending on the location of your church, driving may be an option. If John drives, you will be responsible for reimbursing mileage at a rate of $0.43 per mile. You are also responsible for hotel accommodations, meals and transportation to and from the airport, hotel and the location of the event. This would include a rental car when appropriate. Also, to ensure John’s safety, ensure that he stays in a hotel (as opposed to a motel with room doors that open directly to a parking lot).

You can expect a response to your request within 48 hours. We require a non-refundable deposit of $1000 in advance to secure the dates. You may reschedule your event with 30 days’ notice.

We realize that these requirements may not match up with the resources you have available. We will try to be as flexible as possible. Again, thank you for honoring Faith 2.0 by requesting a speaking engagement.
